Pegasus Airlines flight to Sofia-Istanbul landed at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport yesterday evening.
According to the information received, some passengers stood up during the aircraft’s maneuvering towards the parking area.
Ignoring the announcements and warnings of the cabin crew, some passengers did not sit down and started to act unruly.
As a result, the pilot called the police to the aircraft.
After the aircraft reached the parking area, the police applied unauthorized passenger procedures to the standing passengers.
FINE MAY BE IMPOSED
The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) took a new step to improve flight safety by implementing sanctions for passengers who do not comply with post-landing rules.
Within the scope of the Passenger Announcement Circular published on May 2, 2025, administrative fines can now be imposed on passengers who stand up before the aircraft reaches the parking position and the seat belt warning light is turned off.
